This is an article written by Ashley Daniels about her family’s experience at Ultimate California Pizza at the Myrtle Beach location.

For starters, we recommend UCP’s famous Hummus Dip, served with fresh-baked palm bread, cherry peppers and celery. If you’re not up for throwing down some pizza, try one of their Surf’s Up Subs, like the Polynesian- oven-roasted chicken drizzled with teriyaki sauce, sweet golden pineapple, swiss cheese, hickory smoked crumbled bacon, topped with lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, and mayo.

Or a fresh salad like the Sonoma Valley Spinach Salad- a toss of spinach, red onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, sliced hard-boiled egg, crumbled bacon, smoked gouda, and parmesan, paired with a breadstick. You could even add oven-roasted chicken to the salad if you'd like!

Voted Best of the Beach for its signature pizza year after year, UCP boasts a menu that’s constantly updated and renovated to include new salads, sandwiches, vegetarian options, a gluten-sensitive crust and many other fresh items. Pizzas are prime here, with almost 40 signature combinations – or you can build your own. One commonality no matter which pie route you choose: the freshest highest-quality ingredients from the dough to the last topping. We went with a large Big Kahuna, which starts with UCP’s Ultimate Red Sauce, then piles on pepperoni, smoked ham, ground beef, Italian sausage, mild pork sausage, mushrooms, green peppers, yellow onions, black olives, tomatoes, mozzarella, and smoked gouda. Additional pies that pique our palate on a return visit include the Thai Chicken (sweet Thai chili sauce, mozzarella, red peppers, green onions, and diced peanuts), the Black & Bleu (features a white garlic sauce, with blackened USDA filet, red onions, tomatoes, Monterey Jack and bleu cheese crumbles) and the Moon Doggie (mozzarella, provolone, feta, oven-roasted chicken, tomatoes and artichoke hearts all on a pesto sauce).

UCP is one of five restaurant concepts by Myrtle Beach-based Divine Dining Group, masters in creative, family-friendly culinary experiences from North Myrtle Beach to Pawleys Island.
